Questions about visa sponsorship jobs
- Which Australian employers can sponsor a work visa?
- An employer must be an approved sponsor and nominate you for a specific position, most often for the Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482), which replaced the TSS visa in December 2024. Accredited sponsors are approved sponsors with a strong record; their nominations get priority processing.
- Is every job here from an approved sponsor?
- No. Each job says whether its employer holds a labour agreement on the Home Affairs list, updated monthly, or was on its accredited sponsor list (released in January 2025). Australia publishes no full register of approved sponsors yet, so an employer missing from both may still sponsor — ask before you apply.
- Can I apply from the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar?
- Yes. These work visas are applied for from outside the country, so you can apply while you work in the Gulf or anywhere else. Many applications also ask for a police clearance certificate from the countries you have lived in, and the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar issue them.
- Is ApplyWave an employer or a recruitment agency?
- No. ApplyWave lists jobs from employers and helps you prepare and send your application. We do not employ anyone or sponsor visas, and real employers never charge money for a job or a visa sponsorship.
