Commercial Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into action, challenging the status quo and working collaboratively to improve commercial outcomes. You'll play a key role in helping our clients maximise asset performance, improve profitability and identify opportunities that deliver long-term value.

Whether your background is in commercial analysis, finance, operations, consultancy or property, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact across a diverse and growing portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

As Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for analysing portfolio performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving initiatives that enhance revenue, optimise expenditure and strengthen operational efficiency.

Working closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement and our clients, you'll provide valuable insight and challenge, helping stakeholders make informed commercial decisions and deliver measurable results.

Driving Portfolio Performance

Analyse portfolio, asset and client performance to identify opportunities for improvement

Monitor operational expenditure and cost trends across the portfolio

Benchmark performance internally and externally to identify best practice and emerging opportunities

Support clients and operational teams to improve profitability, operational effectiveness and long-term asset value

Leading Commercial Improvement Initiatives

Review cost performance and challenge assumptions to drive better commercial outcomes

Lead and support cost optimisation and efficiency programme

Work alongside Procurement to identify value creation opportunities and contract efficiencies.

Deliver initiatives that improve performance and generate measurable financial benefits

### Delivering Insight & Analysis

Produce high-quality commercial reporting, analysis and recommendations

Identify trends impacting profitability, revenue performance and Net Operating Income (NOI)

Support investment decisions, business cases and commercial evaluations

Partner with Finance colleagues to understand financial models, performance drivers and scenario planning

### Building Strong Stakeholder Relationships

Work closely with Operations, Finance and client teams to deliver commercial improvements

Present findings, recommendations and business cases to senior stakeholders

Support the implementation and tracking of agreed improvement plans

Build strong relationships that enable constructive challenge and collaboration

Supporting Financial Excellence

Develop business cases and return-on-investment assessments

Track savings, efficiencies and commercial improvements delivered across the portfolio

Ensure recommendations are supported by robust financial analysis and clear commercial rationale

Help create a culture of commercial accountability and continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

You'll be naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable working with data to influence decision making. You won't be afraid to ask questions, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities that others may miss.

You'll bring:

Experience within Build to Rent, property, residential, hospitality or another customer-focused sector

A background in commercial analysis, finance, operations, consultancy or performance improvement

Experience delivering projects that improve financial or operational performance

Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and present complex data

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
