Forklift/MHE Operator - Evening Shift
Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated Forklift Operators / MHE Operators to join a large distribution centre based in Rolleston. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators or candidates who have recently obtained their OSH Counterbalance certification and are looking to gain valuable industry experience.
This temporary opportunity is expected to run through until early 2027, offering consistent hours, ongoing work, and the chance to further develop your skills within a fast-paced warehousing environment.
What's on Offer?
- Monday to Friday roster
- Evening Shift: 4:00pm - 12:30am
- Ongoing temporary assignment through to early 2027
- Hourly rate + holiday pay (Weekly Pay)

About the Role
As a Forklift Operator / MHE Operator, you'll be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the safe movement and storage of stock. Duties may include:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the warehouse
Picking and moving products throughout the distribution centre
Completing routine equipment checks
Adhering to all site health and safety requirements
Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
What We're Looking For
Current OSH Counterbalance Forklift Certificate
Confidence operating warehouse equipment or willingness to learn
Excellent attitude and strong focus on safety
Reliable with good attendance and punctuality
Ability to work the evening shift consistently
Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
Able to provide a satisfactory Ministry of Justice check
New Zealand Resident, Citizen, or holder of a valid work visa
