Instrumentation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join a specialist maintenance team based at one of Auckland's critical wastewater treatment facilities in Mangere.
About the role
You'll play a key role in ensuring instrumentation and control systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The role involves testing, calibrating, fault-finding, installing, and maintaining a wide range of instrumentation, monitoring equipment, and process control systems.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
A National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 (or equivalent)
Electrical Registration or an Electrical Service Technician (EST) (Avantageous)
Strong experience working with instrumentation, process control, and automation systems
Sound knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS platforms within an industrial or continuous process environment
Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a technical team
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads
A high level of attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
