Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist aviation engineering company in Taupō. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong mechanical skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship. Aviation experience is an advantage, but we're also interested in skilled engineers from other mechanical backgrounds.

Location: Taupō

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $42.50–$49 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete effective repairs
• Assemble, inspect and maintain mechanical components and equipment
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
• Complete mechanical adjustments, testing and inspections
• Use engineering tools and equipment safely and accurately
• Follow relevant safety procedures and quality standards within an aviation engineering environment

What We're Looking For

Relevant mechanical engineering qualification — essential

Proven experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance or servicing

Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

Previous aviation industry experience is advantageous

Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety
