Packing Operator – Mile End

An opportunity currently exists for a Packing Operator based at our Mile End site on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the packing function operates effectively to support site objectives, managing inventory, maintaining equipment and completing cleaning activities in accordance with site schedules. The role also assists with training new operators.

Key Accountabilities

• Promote and adhere to Quality, GMP, HACCP and food safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Review quality and GMP performance and assist with the resolution of corrective actions.
• Test and record results against product specifications (e.g. protein, moisture and visual standards).
• Comply with site quality procedures and maintain all required quality management documentation.
• Perform daily CCP checks and report any breaches.
• Follow operational systems to prevent product contamination before and during loading.
• Operate systems to manage product transfer and clean and maintain equipment to operational standards.
• Comply with all relevant WHSE legislative requirements and company/site policies and procedures.
• Participate in and promote a safety culture that supports a safe working environment.
• Complete all required records relating to packing operations, cleaning schedules and quality compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess

• Strong experience in packing and distribution.
• A current Forklift Licence.
• Experience with Food Safety and HACCP requirements.
• Experience cleaning sites and equipment to GMP standards.
• Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Flexibility to work day, afternoon and night shifts.
