Job Description
Set in the heart of the city, Pravda Café & Grill is a Wellington Institution, the perfect place to go for everything from a morning espresso to a leisurely lunch, afternoon drink or dinner out. The heritage building is atmospheric by day and night, with vaulted high ceilings and crystal chandeliers and expanses of marble and dark wood.
Pravda is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
We're known for delivering exceptional food, great coffee, and genuine hospitality in a welcoming environment.

About the Role
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high standards.
Assist with food preparation, stock rotation, and inventory management.
Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Support between three of our venues in Wellington if required.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to take the next step.
Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A positive attitude with a genuine team-first approach.
Passion for quality food, attention to detail, and consistency.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
