Recycling Sorter

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Recycling Pickers / Sorters to join a busy recycling facility in Seaford Heights.

Working within a modern recycling plant, you will be responsible for manually sorting recyclable materials, removing contamination from conveyor lines and helping keep the facility clean, safe and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Sort recyclable materials moving along conveyor linesIdentify and remove incorrect or contaminated materialsMonitor recycling and sorting lines during operationAssist with safely clearing minor blockages where requiredPerform general cleaning and housekeeping around the facilitySweep, hose and clean sorting and processing areasRemove waste and debris from operational areasReport equipment faults, hazards or safety concerns to supervisorsAssist with general labouring and operational duties as requiredFollow all site safety procedures and wear required PPE

Your Profile

Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle – essentialReliable and punctual with a strong work ethicComfortable performing repetitive, hands-on workPhysically fit and able to work on your feet throughout the shiftComfortable working around recycling materials, machinery, noise and dustGood safety awareness and ability to follow instructionsAble to work effectively as part of a teamPrevious recycling, process work, warehouse, production, labouring or waste-management experience is advantageous but not essential

This is a hands-on role within an industrial recycling facility. You will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring recyclable materials are correctly sorted and contaminants are removed before materials continue through the processing plant.
