Permanent Part Time and Casual Opportunities Available

Minimum 15 hours per week and up to 38 hours per week

Hamilton, Casterton and surrounding communities

Location and working arrangements negotiable for the successful applicant

$32.90 per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging Benefits

25% casual loading applies to casual positions

Western District Health Service is seeking caring, reliable and community-minded Community Support Workers – Personal Care to join our Community Services team.

This rewarding role supports participants living in their own homes across the Southern Grampians and Casterton regions. Through personal care, domestic assistance and social support, you'll help people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life while remaining connected to their local communities.

For casual employees, a 25% casual loading applies in addition to the base hourly rate.

What You'll Be Doing

Personal Care Support

Provide respectful and person-centred personal care services in participants' homes, including:

  • Showering, bathing and hygiene assistance
  • Grooming and personal presentation support
  • Assistance with dressing and undressing
  • Toileting and continence support
  • Domestic Assistance

Support participants with household tasks including:

  • Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
  • Laundry, washing, drying and ironing
  • General household organisation and tidying
  • Daily Living Assistance

Assist participants with

Shopping and errands

Meal preparation

Transport assistance

Social support activities

Other approved support activities in accordance with care plans

Observation & Reporting

Monitor participant wellbeing and identify changes in health, behaviour or home safety. Accurately report concerns and maintain required documentation.

Communication & Teamwork

Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and the Community Services team to ensure high-quality care and support.

What You Bring

Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

A caring, respectful and person-centred approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently within participants' homes

Strong time management and organisational skills

Commitment to supporting people to live independently

Current Driver's Licence

Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Rights to work in Australia
