Graduate HVAC Specification & Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a graduate engineer to join our National Specification & Design Team.

Working alongside some of the most experienced engineers in HVAC, you'll develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to support the design and specification of Mitsubishi Electric HVAC solutions.

You'll have opportunities to work with mechanical and hydraulic consultants, architects and HVAC contractors, gaining valuable exposure to commercial building projects and the wider HVAC industry.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll take on greater responsibility for providing technical advice, supporting clients and developing professional relationships.

In this varied role, you'll learn to:

Understand Mitsubishi Electric products and their applications

Carry out engineering calculations and select suitable HVAC equipment.

Assist consultants and installers with technical advice and design support.

Understand customer requirements and help develop practical, energy-efficient HVAC solutions.

Work with consulting engineers during the design and specification stages of commercial projects.

Build relationships with engineers, contractors and other industry professionals.

Help deliver technical presentations and share product knowledge as your experience develops.

Identify opportunities to incorporate Mitsubishi Electric technologies into project designs.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your engineering expertise while gaining valuable commercial experience and building a network of professional industry relationships.

About You:

We're looking for someone with strong technical potential, excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

What you'll bring:

A recently completed, or soon-to-be-completed, qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related engineering or trade qualification.

A sound understanding of engineering principles and an interest in HVAC technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to communicate clearly and confidently.

Good interpersonal skills and an interest in working with people.

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

An organised approach and attention to detail.

It would be an advantage, but isn't essential, if you have:

An understanding of HVAC systems or building services engineering.

Relevant work experience, internships or university projects involving mechanical systems.

Previous HVAC industry or sales experience is not essential. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, technical aptitude and potential to develop into a capable engineer and trusted technical adviser.
