HVAC Specification & Design Engineer

We are looking for an engineer to join our National Specification & Design Team.

As part of this team, you'll work closely with mechanical and hydraulic consultants, architects and HVAC contractors to develop technically sound, energy-efficient HVAC solutions using Mitsubishi Electric technologies.

You'll provide engineering expertise throughout the design and specification process, helping clients identify the most suitable solutions for their projects. You'll also build strong, long-term professional relationships and identify opportunities to incorporate Mitsubishi Electric products into project designs.

In this varied role you will

Develop a detailed understanding of Mitsubishi Electric products and their applications.

Carry out engineering calculations and equipment selections.

Provide technical advice and design assistance to consultants & installers.

Collaborate with clients from the early stages of a project to help develop practical, efficient HVAC solutions.

Deliver technical presentations and share product knowledge.

Support the specification of Mitsubishi Electric solutions.

About You:

Success in this role comes from combining strong technical ability with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in building relationships.

What you'll bring:

An engineering or HVAC qualification or relevant industry experience.

Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles & HVAC systems.

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

The ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently.

Confidence to engage with consultants, installers & industry professionals

A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.

Ideally, you could also have:

Experience in HVAC design, equipment selection, consultancy or technical support.

Familiarity with commercial HVAC systems and their applications.

Experience working with mechanical consultants, installers or building services professionals.
