Warehouse Supervisor

Our client, a well-established local business, is looking for a practical, systems-savvy Warehouse Supervisor to keep their warehouse running smoothly, accurately and efficiently.

This role is a genuine mix of hands-on warehouse work and warehouse administration. You'll spend part of your day on the floor picking orders and driving a forklift, and part of it at the computer managing stock in the Warehouse Management System, processing paperwork and coordinating freight.

The Role

You'll be working as part of a small team. Your responsibilities will include:

Systems & Administration

Using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory, stock locations and movements

Receipting inbound stock into the system and processing outbound orders and dispatches

Maintaining accurate stock levels and investigating variances

Coordinating inbound and outbound freight, including bookings and dispatch documentation

Data input for incoming product lines

Keeping warehouse records, paperwork and data accurate and up to date

Identifying ways to improve warehouse processes, systems and reporting

Warehouse Operations

Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders

Loading and unloading trucks and operating a forklift

Receiving and putting stock away

Overseeing the daily warehouse operation and supporting a small team

Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe, and ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed

Pitching in wherever required to keep things running efficiently

What We're Looking For

Previous warehouse experience, ideally including warehouse administration or inventory control

Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems

Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Good knowledge of stock control and accurate record keeping

Confidence with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

Some experience supervising or supporting a small team

A positive, hands-on attitude and good work ethic

A forklift licence

A full New Zealand driver licence

Full working rights in New Zealand

Experience with ERP systems or MPI Transitional Facility requirements would be beneficial but is not essential.
